COMPASS Exception
All new students are expected to take the COMPASS or COMPASS ESL
assessment unless one of the following situations apply:

You have earned a 2.0 grade or higher in a college level
English composition and Intermediate Algebra class at a
regionally accredited college or university within the last
five years.If you plan to enroll in a college level class with a
pre-requisite, you may need to request an entry code from
the class instructor or Educational Planning.

You have earned a B.A., B.S., Associate of Arts or Associate
of Science degree. If
you plan to enroll for a college level class with a
pre-requisite, you may need to request an entry code from
the instructor of the class or Educational Planning.

You have taken the COMPASS, COMPASS ESL or ASSET assessment
from another college within the last two years.You should submit an official copy of your scores to
the Highline Placement and Testing Center.For advising purposes, you can bring an
unofficial copy of
your assessment scores to Educational Planning.
